Cendrine Browne is living proof that it’s never too late to make dreams come true. Although she was a latecomer to competitive cross-country skiing – taking part in her first competition at the age of 15 – her progression was rapid. She won the National Championship in her age group in her second year competing. The following season she became a member of the Quebec team, quickly moved to the national junior team before advancing to the senior national team in year five.

The native from Prevost, QC became a full-time member of the World Cup team in 2016-17. The season prior she finished second in the overall Nor-Am Cup standings with five victories on record. In her first FIS World Championship appearance in 2017, she finished 26th in the 30km mass start. The only other Canadian woman to ever break into the top 30 in that event was Beckie Scott. Her international successes won her a spot on Team Canada for the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Games. Cendrine had her best season to date in 2020 with two Top-30 on the World Cup Tour.
