Jennifer
Abel

Passionate, a perfectionist, and with both feet planted firmly on the ground, Jennifer has the makings of a champion. In fact, she can boast of being the first diver to execute a double and a half front flip with two twists.

A ten-time medalist at the FINA World Championships, Abel defended her world title for the fourth time at the 2018 Commonwealth Games by capturing a gold medal in the three-metre springboard final in Gold Coast, Australia. She also earned the title in the 3m individual event at the Pan American Games in 2015 in Toronto, posting her all-time best score.

She has competed in four Olympics: at age 16, in Beijing 2008, she was the youngest diver ever to represent Canada at Olympic Games; she won a bronze medal in the three-metre synchro with Heymans at the 2012 Games in London; and she finished fourth in the 3m individual event, and in the 3m synchro with Pamela Ware, at the 2016 Olympics in Rio, Brazil. At her fourth and last Olympics in Tokyo, Jennifer won a silver medal in 3m synchro with her partner and friend Melissa Citrini-Beaulieu. Now retired, Jennifer continues to work in the field of diving as an analyst with the CBC.
